South Pacific Division president Pastor Glenn Townend has encouraged the church in Western Highlands Mission in Papua New Guinea to continue telling others about Jesus.

During his visit to the local mission from November 11 to 16, Pastor Townend read from Revelation 14:6–12 and shared the three angels’ messages.

“We must follow the 10 Commandments and have the faith of Jesus. we must reach other people and languages and tell others the third angel’s message,” Pastor Townend said.

Addressing gatherings in Mendi, Tari, Wabag, Minj and Mt Hagen, Pastor Townend said the good news of Jesus must be made known to others. Also citing Mark 14:36, he said “our message is about the good news of Jesus. Let us tell others about Jesus.”

Pastor Townend encouraged the church in Western Highlands Mission and PNG to continue to share Jesus through small Bible study groups and other activities.

He also shared stories about soul-winning through the 10,000 Toes project in Fiji and the help given by the Adventist Church to cyclone victims in Vanuatu.

Meanwhile, PNG Union Mission president Pastor Malachi Yani urged church members to invite others to their small groups and share Jesus with them. “Invite men, women and children to church. Give them clothes and food first. Make time to talk to them about Jesus. Be engaged in mission all the time,” Pastor Yani said.
