Lani Brereton regained consciousness on Sunday and has smiled at her family, reports John Brereton, her father and director of publishing for the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. John states Lani “was tracking our faces, she then smiled at us! She squeezed our hands and poked her tongue out when asked. This would have to be the best day of our lives! Thank you, Lord. Thank you all for your continued prayers. God is blessing!”
We know it is miraculous. It is the direct result of all the prayers from people all over the world.
“Although she is out of immediate danger, there are still risks and possible complications,” states Bec Brereton, Lani’s sister. “We ask that you please continue your prayers…”
Today Lani is being operated on from 8 am – 2 pm to address her broken wrist, ankle and legs. Despite early fears she had a broken back, subsequent tests established she has no spinal damage.
“The lead doctor who has been treating Lani came in yesterday and said Lani is doing much better than he expected. He went so far as to say her progress is remarkable,” reports John Brereton. “We know it is miraculous. It is the direct result of all the prayers from people all over the world.”
