The Seventh-day Adventist Church’s campground in Nunawading, Victoria was transformed into an ancient biblical city last week, drawing the attention of thousands of visitors and even one leading Australian newspaper.

Road To Bethlehem (December 10-13) featured on the front page of The Age‘s website on Wednesday, December 12. The story, written by accalimed journalist Carolyn Webb, included interviews with event organisers and participants, photos and a video report.

Since its first production in 1995, Road To Bethlehem has allowed visitors and tourists the opportunity to witness first-hand a retelling of the story of the birth of Jesus. An estimated 20,000 people attended this year’s event in Nunawading. Similar productions were also held in other parts of Australia (Perth, NSW’s Central Coast) and in Tauranga, New Zealand (Tauranga).
