Church reaffirms no tolerance stance on abuse

Seventh-day Adventist Church representatives in the South Pacific voted a statement regarding the Church’s position on abuse during the division’s year-end meetings.

The official statement reads: “We, as representatives of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific, declare that we will never commit, excuse, or remain silent about any abuse or violence within our homes, churches, institutions or communities.”

The year-end meetings were held at South Pacific Division headquarters in Wahroonga, New South Wales, from November 13-15.
