Noosa Christian College on the Sunshine Coast (Qld) have celebrated the graduation of their first Year 12 class. Principal Ross Reid established the school in 2003 and it has grown into a P-12 school with modern buildings, a new resource centre and a one-to-one laptop program.

Two students in the graduating class of 2011 who are from non-Adventist backgrounds have been baptised, and several plan to attend Avondale College in 2012.

God is blessing our growing school in Cooroy on the Sunshine Coast.

At the graduation ceremony, Mr Reid expressed sadness at bidding farewell to our first Year 12 students, but wished them God’s blessings as they head out into the wider circle of life.

During the year, The Hon John Hogg, Senator for Queensland and President of the Senate, Australian Government, officially opened a new $A2,000,000 Library funded entirely by the Australian Government Building Education Revolution (BER) Scheme.

The library complex includes a reading area, withdrawal classrooms, canteen and computer room.  Both staff and students have thoroughly enjoyed this new facility. It is a great addition to the building program, with a completed primary school complex, and new high school building that boasts modern Science laboratories and a Performing Arts department. The school has introduced a one-to-one laptop program for the high school, an initiative that is equipping students with skills for the 21st century.
