A Warburton Christian Playgroup, run by the Warburton Seventh-day Adventist church members Ngaire and Alan Holman, won Playgroup Victoria’s inaugural Playgroup of the Month award.

Playgroup Victoria CEO Vivienne Cunningham-Smith told the group gathered to celebrate the award, “Seeing you all here is wonderful. This is what Playgroup is all about. It’s about linking families and children in communities and it’s about building communities. This group oozes community. I am really pleased to present to Warburton the Playgroup of the Month for August.” She then presented Ngaire with a Crayola pack gift basket.

This special event was attended by playgroup children and parents, local dignitaries from the Yarra Ranges Shire, Bendigo Bank representatives, Yarra Ranges Playgroup Association and many Warburton Adventist church members and the pastoral team. In her welcome, Mrs Holman mentioned each of these people and groups thanking them specifically for their presence and support.

In her presentation, playgroup parent Simone said, “On behalf of the parents and children we would like to say that we are thrilled that Mrs Holman has won this award. We would also like to thank the Warburton Seventh-day Adventist church for their support and for providing this wonderful venue.”

In a presentation on behalf of the Warburton Church family, Church Clerk Dorothy Carvill said, “The Warburton Adventist church would like to present Ngaire and Alan with this fruit basket for all the time effort and energy that they expend in organising and running playgroup.”
