Adventists now have a new source of Adventist news.
There are now more news stories about the church than ever before—all in the one place. It’s on the Internet, on Twitter, and it runs about 100 Adventist news stories a week.
It is a real spiritual boost to read so many good stories about the church so quickly
This new news service is run by Adventist Media in Sydney, and includes Adventist stories from all around the world. Its Twitter name is Adventist_News (Adventist underscore News). The stories are short—you can read 10 of them in a minute.
“It is a real spiritual boost to read so many good stories about the church so quickly,” one Adventist layperson said.
Since Adventist _News began on April 1, it has already been quoted on 33 websites around the world. While all its stories are in English, other websites are translating them into other languages.
“There are 1405 followers as of today attracting 100 new followers every day so far,” said David Gibbons, director of communication for the South Pacific Division.
Twitter has a limit of 140 characters for each message sent. So the Adventist_News stories on Twitter only give the bare bones. But most stories have a link that provide more details about each story.
