Motivational speaker and evangelist Leo Schreven has just finished the All Power Seminar at Linwood College, South New Zealand. Garden City Fellowship—a new church plant in Christchurch—hosted the event in July.
This was a major undertaking for the new group of 60 adults and 20 children. They started only 18 months ago—a product of the South New Zealand Conference-wide All Power evangelistic campaign in February 2009.
Many of the visitors came because of personal invitations from our new members. And they happily gave of their time, hard work and finances to make the event a success
Garden City Fellowship has a specific vision for growth that includes a four-month cycle of evangelism. “Over a period of four months members serve the community making contact with people who are then invited to a major evangelistic event—such as the All Power Seminar,” says Pastor Benjamin Rea.
Throughout the inspiring All Power weekend and the insightful prophecy seminar that followed—more than 320 adults attended at least once. The highlight of the seminars was the baptism and profession of faith of 14 people on Sabbath afternoon, July 31. Many other visitors are continuing to attend the All Power Reloaded program and Sabbath worship as well.
Garden City Fellowship Pastor Rea, gives God all the credit for the positive results and the privilege of being able to serve Him with such an enthusiastic and active fellowship of believers. “Many of the visitors came because of personal invitations from our new members. And they happily gave of their time, hard work and finances to make the event a success. I think they want to share the victory and love that God has given them.”
